From purses to photography: time for a new blog

I have a blog, it's supposed to be about my purse business, but it's not. I write about my life, random things that happen, my cat, my Meals on Wheels friends, and other things.  Instead of torturing the people who read my other blog by posting notes about photography, inspirations, current work, etc, I thought I'd just start a new one!

This blog will be about photography.

After an 8+ year hiatus, I'm picking up my Holga again and experiencing the world through the plastic lens. As of now, Feb 18th, I've spent a total of 11 hours in the darkroom and have processed 16 rolls of film (8 of which were 9 years old... I'll get to that later! Mystery film!).

My plan for this blog is to use it as a way to catalog my progress, keep track of events, chew on ideas, and maybe connect with other Holga or photography enthusiasts.

Stay tuned!

  1. I love this carnival print & still have it framed. Always loved your work! I have the new Diana camera, but I'm still smitten with my Holga!

  2. Hi Rachel!! So great to see your name... and thank you for the kind words. I love the carnival girl too! It's been a walk down memory lane pulling out all my old work. I'm glad I can pick up from where I left off and it doesn't seem like I skipped a beat!

I was tempted to get the new Diana, but you know... change is hard. I LOVE my Holga. Hopefully I now have all the light leaks taped up. This is Holga #2 (bought 10 years ago, never taken out of the box!). My first one finally died, but man, it lasted a long, long time and was brutalized by me!
